En 1880, Achille TILLIER, architecte, achète la propriété et l'agrandit.
En 1892, il inaugure sa brasserie malterie qu'il a dessinée, ainsi qu'une
dépendance comprenant écurie, sellerie et grand grenier.

A sa mort, en 1916, ses trois fils lui succèdent et la brasserie se dénomme " Brasserie TILLIER Frères ".
En 1916, l'armée allemande occupe la propriété et confisque tous les cuivres, donc également les cuves à bière.
Depuis 1892, la spécialité est la fabrication du Stout.

En 1940, l'armée française occupe les lieux et occasionne quelques dégâts.
Willy Tillier, petit-fils du fondateur, est prisonnier de guerre 5 ans en Allemagne.

A son retour, il repart à zéro avec ce qui peut encore fonctionner.
Les frais de réparation sont trop importants pour tout rénover et en 1950 la fabrication est arrêtée définitivement

Een stukje geschiedenis

ln 1880 koopt architect Achille Tillier het eigendom.
ln 1892 breidt hij het eigendom uit. Hij maakt een ontwerp voor een brouwerij/mouterij en laat een bijgebouw optrekken met een stal, een opslagplaats en een grote zolder.

Toen hij stierf in 1916, volgden zijn drie zoons hem op en kreeg de brouwerij de naam "Brouwerij Zonen TILLIER". ln 1916 bezet het Duitse leger het eigendom en vordert aile koperwerk op met inbegrip van de bierkuipen.

ln 1940 bezet het Franse leger het domein en wordt er schade aangericht.

De herstellingskosten waren te hoog om alles te vernieuwen en in 1950 werd de productie definitief stopgezet.

A bit of history.

In 1880, Achille Tillier, architect, bought the property.
In 1892, he enlarged the property, drew and built a malt brewery with a dependence
including stable, warehouse and large attic.

When he died, in 1916, his three sons succeeded him and the brewery took the name of "Brewery Tillier Brothers". In the same year, the German army occupied the property and thus confiscated all copper pieces including the beer tanks.

In 1940, the french army occupied the places and caused some damage.
The cost of repairs were too important to restore everything.
In 1950 the brewing process was stopped definitely.
